The Percy Hunt Supporters lost one of their corner stone members when Alec Vickers died suddenly in early 2007 and a long debate was had about how best to remember him known well as a local country man and was an excellent judge of stock who loved to see hounds working and was a keen hunting man the decision was made to get a trophy made of one of his favourite hounds that he had walked. This was a hound called Porter
The trophy was made by Terry Grahamslaw a local farmer from East Linkhall it was carved from a Blackie Tup horn and took Terry more than 80 hours of detailed work to produce the finished article the trophy is magnificent and is presented annually to the puppy walker of the best unentered dog hound .
